Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Safely set up, operate, and monitor production machinery such as CNC routers, packaging sealers, fillers, and labelling equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct routine quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure all products meet strict client specifications and tolerances, reporting any deviations immediately.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance tasks to minimise machine downtime, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing consumable parts like blades or nozzles.
• Efficiently load raw materials and unload finished products, maintaining a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment in line with 5S principles.
• Accurately complete production logs, quality control documentation, and time sheets to ensure traceability and efficient workflow management.
• Work collaboratively with team members, Warehouse Managers, and quality assurance staff to achieve daily production targets and resolve any line issues promptly.
• Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE, participating in safety briefings, and following lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures.

Essential Skills & Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operative, or in a similar hands-on role within a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• A strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical drawings, machinery manuals, and follow complex instructions precisely.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems on the line.
• Physical fitness and stamina to work full shifts (including potential overtime), which involve standing, lifting (within manual handling guidelines), and operating machinery.
• A solid understanding of, and respect for, workplace Health & Safety standards. Previous forklift (counterbalance) or Crane Operator certification is a significant advantage but not essential.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team is essential.
• Good basic numeracy and literacy skills for completing documentation. IT literacy for interacting with machine interfaces is beneficial.
