We are seeking a diligent and reliable Food Production Operative to join a fast-paced, high-standard food manufacturing facility in the heart of London E15. This role is central to the preparation, assembly, and packaging of fresh food products for a major UK retailer and several premium food service clients. Operating within a BRCGS-certified environment, you will be part of a team dedicated to quality, safety, and efficiency.

- Operating machinery and production lines for weighing, mixing, cutting, and assembling fresh food products such as salads, sandwiches, and ready meals.
- Following strict hygiene and food safety protocols (HACCP), including frequent hand washing, wearing correct PPE, and maintaining a pristine work area.
- Conducting quality control checks on raw ingredients and finished products, reporting any deviations from specification immediately.
- Accurate weighing, labelling, and packaging of products to meet customer orders and dispatch deadlines.
- Supporting the cleaning and sanitisation of equipment and production areas at the start and end of each shift (clean-as-you-go policy).
- Working effectively as part of a team to achieve daily production targets and contribute to a positive, efficient work environment.
- Previous experience in a food production, factory, warehouse, or catering environment is highly desirable. Full training is provided for the right attitude.
- A strong understanding of and commitment to health, safety, and food hygiene. A basic food hygiene certificate is advantageous but not essential.
- Physical fitness and stamina for a role involving standing for long periods, lifting (within manual handling guidelines), and working in a chilled environment (approx. 4°C).
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive 'can-do' attitude. The ability to follow instructions precisely and work safely at pace.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction. All successful candidates will be subject to a right-to-work check.
- Competitive Hourly Pay: Earn between £12.50 and £14.50 per hour, paid weekly directly into your bank account.

How does pay and holiday work as a temporary worker?
You are paid an hourly rate for all hours worked, with payment processed weekly. As a temporary worker, you are entitled to statutory holiday pay, which is accrued based on the hours you work and can be paid out accordingly. Your consultant will explain this in detail during registration.
