Key Responsibilities & Duties
- 1 Front of House Service: Professionally serve food and beverages to guests at corporate events, weddings, and banquets, ensuring high standards of presentation and customer interaction.
- 2 Back of House Support: Assist with food preparation, plating, kitchen porter duties, and maintaining impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations.
- 3 Event Setup & Breakdown: Efficiently set up dining areas, buffets, furniture, and equipment before events, and clear down promptly and safely afterwards.
- 4 Stock & Inventory Control: Assist with receiving deliveries, managing stock levels of catering supplies, and minimising waste.
- 5 Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly as part of a diverse team under the direction of event managers, chefs, and supervisors to ensure smooth event execution.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Proven Experience: Previous work as event catering staff, wait staff, commis chef, or in a similar hospitality role is highly desirable.
- Flexibility & Reliability: Must be available for shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Punctuality and a can-do attitude are essential.
- Food Safety Awareness: A basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2) is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one quickly.
- Physical Stamina: The role involves prolonged standing, lifting, and carrying, so a good level of fitness is required.
